Bottle bill provinces are provinces where legislations has been passed that requires a cash deposit on beverage containers. Eleven provinces currently have Container Recycling Fee. For more information, check out bottlebill.org.
Ecycler is free for the discarder and free for the collector. After the beta, collectors in some Container Recycling Fee provinces may be charged a small fee per match. As recycling markets become more valuable or competitive collectors may be charged a small fee if they accept a match (always free to browse).
You can make money as a collector or as a discarder. As a collector you will set up your own network of discarders who provide you with recyclables. Discarders can also choose to receive a portion of the value of the recyclables (currently 40%). Discarders who choose to receive a payment must provide the collector more recyclables than if the discarder was giving them away for free. As a collector you can then take the recyclables to a recycling center that will pay cash for your recyclables. Use earth911.com to locate a local recycling center near you.
With deposit containers you multiply the deposit value by the number of containers. A trash bag full of 5¢ deposit aluminum cans is worth approximately $10 (200 cans x 5¢=$10.00). For non deposit recyclables, contact your local recycling center and ask what they are paying per pound for the recyclables.
Use only ecycler to communicate with the collectors. Do not invite the collectors inside your home. Place the recyclables near the front of your house or garage.
If possible, use biodegradable trash bags. Place the recyclables near the front of your house or garage. Make ure you follow all local ordinances or homeowners' covenants. Do not use your town- or city-provided recycling container for ecycler recyclables--collectors are not allowed to take these recyclables.
If you have had a bad experience with a discarder, provide feedback that accurately describes what happened and you can choose not to do business with them again by adding them to your block list. By adding a discarder to your block list, you will not be matched with them again in the future.

Use only ecycler to communicate with the discarders. Do not enter the discarder's home. If the discarder says the recyclables are inside, ask them to place the recyclables outside or near the front of the house or garage.
Utilize the ecycler marketing posters. Go to your dashboard and print the PDF posters. Place these posters in public areas like coffee shops, sandwich shops or grocery stores. The recycling posters have your unique ID and have tear offs on the bottom of the poster. The prospective discarders will be able to enter your code when they go to the site and will be taken to your profile page. If you want while enter your code and you will be taken to your collector profile page.
Contact all your friends and ask them to save recyclables for you. Explain how they can use the site to keep track of recyclables.
